I recently came across a short video that I want to share with you. The video is called Teaching for Tomorrow: Flipped Learning. It highlights Aaron Sams’ chemistry class. Sams is a proponent of the flipped classroom; a form of blended learning which “flips” the role of the instructor. Students learn the content online through recorded lectures and spend their class time applying their newly acquired knowledge through personalized projects. The teacher is less of a lecturer and more of an academic guide. What I love about the video is that you can see the excitement all over the students’ faces. The classroom is alive with energy! It really has motivated me to start flipping my classes. Enjoy!
